Most excellent again, Kerry! Henry and I do the same @ the lake & take pleasure when a Spoonbill or Wood Stork arrives. Remember when Stacey was feeding the dozen Geese in the pm? And a gentleman @ Lake Pasadena would do the same in the am? The little joys in seeing something different other than the usual Ibises, et al. The same for momma duck and her ducklings. The joyful feeling and our dogs know it, too! --Tom

Thank you, Tom. How lucky are we to live in such a beautiful neighborhood. I went out for a short walk around the lake this afternoon and saw a duck with only one leg. He seems to be getting along fine, but I even as I watched from a distance, mama was eyeing me to make sure I posed no harm.

I had seen your photos around the lake in the past. It always reminds me of the years, driving, stopping around the lake with Julian, when he was a baby, as his older brother was taking piano lessons in a home near the lake.

Such a joy to read this!

I love the birds in Florida. I never get tired of going out my front door and seeing an Ibis (or two or three) on the lawn.

I spotted a Spoonbill once, but I was in my car. Not able to get a picture of it, but it was such a stunning sight.

No Canada geese anywhere down here so far, but I know they’re pretty messy!

I love the Sandhill Cranes, which we occasionally see by our local post office.
